Home has a different meaning Not the meaning you know best It’s different for different people But for me, home is a place where you can be yourself You don’t need to hide anything at home You can do anything you feel like doing But most of all You can express how you are really feeling You might have been hiding it all day But home is where you can tell someone Feel whatever you want to feel You will never be shy in your home You can speak as you like Wear what you like Eat what you like No one can tell you “you’re weird” Because you are doing you If you make a mistake You’re not scared to admit it To tell someone Even to get in trouble But everywhere else You get really nervous Home is like a snail You’ll always have a shell To protect you From anything life throws at you At home You will always feel safe Some people Don’t have a place to call home But everyone deserves to have a home And Canada Is my home
