Home

Home means love, family, care and safety to me. Home is like a family because it is not just paint or walls. My family makes me feel loved. When I get hugged it feels like something that a building could never do. That laughter at the dinner table talking about your day, I love it. Every day love is one of those intangible things that you can’t touch but you can feel. Home is also love because of the things we can do together. When we do things together like games, movie nights, making forts all those things make me feel loved. One thing that makes me feel good is that I am safe. A house is just a building but sometimes it can also be home because it keeps me sheltered from the rain and too much sun. My house can keep me safe from some things but not everything. It is my home in many ways but home is not just one thing it can be so much more. I love that Habitat for Humanity is helping make that possible for so many people all around the world. Just like when you move away. you have to leave all of the things that you have built behind and make your new home have that feeling again. You have to rebuild all those things again to make it feel like home. This is what home means to me not just family and friends it means you can always rebuild again and again. I think this is what habitat for humanity believes and I know they can do so much more.
