Home Sweet Home
Home is where my day usually starts and ends. It’s the place where I think about my goals, do my homework, and sometimes just relax when I’m tired. My home feels sweet to me because my parents and my little trouble-maker (Little brother) are always there, and that makes me feel safe and cared.
My favorite spot in the house is my bedroom. It’s not too big, although I love it. I can see birds playing around through the window that’s facing south, I also have a comfy chair, and my study table, but sometimes I play games on it. I see my little brother fooling around, watching television, and building a tower with his toys, in other words, a professional multi-tasker. My brother’s favorite type of toys are vehicles, such as front-loaders, excavators, and don’t think I knew that by myself, I learned it from him.
At home, we speak Bengali mostly. If the house is a bit quiet, it actually feels strange. We try to help each other with small things. We also have a small temple where we pray. It’s not big, but it’s very important to us.
We moved from Bangladesh to Canada, the biggest difference between the two countries is the weather. Even though, it’s cold outside but inside it’s warm not because of the heating and proper isolation but also the warmth of togetherness of our family members.
In my opinion, home is a place where you can be yourself without someone interrupting the vibe. Every moment with family is a memorable experience.
