Home Isn't Just a Roof Over My Head

Home isn't just a roof over my head. It's an environment where I feel safe, it is where I could be myself, without worrying about what other people think of me. It's where I could tell my parents about my crushes, knowing they won't tell anyone. Home is my home, and everything about it is important. I may or may not appreciate it yet, but if something from my house was missing, I would notice almost immediately, because every part of my house makes it feel like home to me. Whether it's tangible or intangible. Everything in my house has its own purpose, even if it’s something small, or something we haven't used in years, MATTER OF FACT something that is broken in my house makes a home feel like home. In my house, when we watch a movie, everyone usually talks about it, complaining about something foolish or naive the characters have done, which they were painfully oblivious to. Me and my brother would have the worst day at school, and my parents would have a bad day at work, yet when we come back home, we would still have to hear baby shark on the tv, non-stop for 24 hours straight, and yet we would simply laugh it off, like it was some midnight joke. When I enter my house, I would smell a smell, that smells like my house, and only my house. There is no other place with that one smell of my house. My house is filled with noise, laughter, arguments, yelling, the smell of my mum's cooking, and much more, yet I won't feel overwhelmed because it's my home. And this is what happens in my family of 5.
