Home Isn’t Just Wood Or Bricks

Home isn’t just any brick or wood structure, home is a place where all the memories live whether they are good or not. Pictures of happy times, lovely times, times that I want to remember because those are the memories that help me through the hard times. Home can also be clothes and objects that you remember from your childhood. Remembering these things can make you feel at home and bring back past memories. Home can contain more than memories. It has something better and that is family. Family keeps you warm and protected during the ups and downs of life and through any time of fierce weather. Family always keeps you safe no matter where you are. Love is enough and it will be okay just if you have each other. At home I feel safe because I feel like every memory and family member is surrounding me. It feels like nothing can hurt us because we are together and if that stays that way I will always feel safe, anytime and anywhere. I will not be scared because I trust them with my life. My house is a comfy place and it feels different from anything in the world, it’s like cotton candy is surrounding me. Even if I fall it will catch me and even if something hits me it will project me. It feels soft and loving like it would do everything in its power to save me, even when I grow up and am no longer physically there. That’s why each and every one of our homes are special. Thank you habitat for humanity for creating so many homes for so many people.
