Where is my home?

I wake up to alarms ringing, I open my eyes to see packing, What is happening? A car parks in our driveway, Our bags going in the car, Where are we going? The car screeches to a stop, I see a plane in the distance, Are we moving? My family steps out of the car and so do I, My family knows where we are going, But where? A huge space greets me, And a place to check out our bags, Are we at the airport? We walk to the gate, We are running late, Are we MOVING? We get on a plane, And sit on a plain chair, My home is not over there! The plane takes off, But I scoff, This is not fair! 5 hours seems like forever, Will I see my home ever again? The plane starts to land, The plane comes to a stop, For a second, everything is quiet, but my mind is not. Everyone gets up to get their belongings, But I get up to see if it’s a dream, Are we going back? We walk to the airport, It looks different, There’s a flag, a Canadian one. We’re in Canada, But we forgot something, Where is my home? We go in a taxi, We secure our seatbelt, Am I gonna be homeless? We park in a driveway, I see a house, I’ll go inside, just to take a look. I walk inside, But it feels like home, What if I have 2 Homes? I see my room, It looks cozy and nice, My “house” looks like my home. Is this my new home? It feels like home, Can it be in Canada too? It can be in Canada too, A home isn't just a building, It’s a place deep in my heart.
