The Meaning of Home

My home is a place where I can and should feel safe. My home is a place where I can work and play and sleep and laugh and if I ever move, my new home will not feel the same because home is where I belong and where I grew up and the place I’ve ever known for my whole 10 years I was alive and if I move that will change my entire life in a brand new way. My pets will not feel the same as it was at my old home. My bed will not feel the same way it did because that house I knew my entire life and that's where I learned how to play baseball and hockey and golf and that's where all my memories were made. I am lucky to have a roof over my head and a warm heater for the cold winter and a nice smooth floor to walk on and walls to keep me safe and keep the warmth inside and my blanket to keep me warm when I sleep and clean water to drink and cooked meat and cold carrots and dip to go with it. And who knows how much people are out in this big scary cold lonely world. And my home is a place where I can have alone time in my room without anyone bugging me and I can just relax and I can talk to myself whenever I want. And I can just think the way my brain wants to think. I can even play on my trampoline that I can play on with my friends and my sister and put the sprinkler underneath my trampoline. And some people don't have that. Chase Wood
