A Home isn't Just Made of Bricks
Home is my safe space, it's where I feel better when I'm sad. Imagine this: a rainy day and I'm walking home from a bad day at school. I start to cry from how bad school was. As soon as I finish walking I stand in front of my door and expect to get yelled at. But when I open the door I'm greeted with warm smiles and big hugs and my parents are understanding about what happened.
My kitchen is like a machine that shoots out magical smells and amazing foods. It's where I laugh, eat, make jokes and talk to my parents. It's where I learn how to make my favourite foods and help make some special foods and desserts for my family.
My roof is like a shield. It protects me from anything bad so instead of being outside in the rain, snow, or blazing sun, I have a strong roof that shields me from all the danger outside.
My bedroom is where I hangout with my friends. It's where I store all my important memories in photos and objects but it's mostly where I get cozy and tucked in at night. It's like a big warm hug from my mom and dad.
A home isn't just a place or just where I live. It's where I laugh and make jokes. It's where I have fun and make tasty food. It's where I play in the snow with my parents, sister and my dog, It's where I belong.
So a home isn’t just a building. It's like a big memory with a bunch of amazing memories stored inside of it. Even if you move, your memories will always be in it. Even with the past owners.
