What Home Means

Home is not just somewhere, it's a family that cares for you and loves you with all their heart. It is a feeling that makes you feel safe and loved. Home should never feel like you are alone, it should be somewhere that you can express yourself and feel proud. To me Home is all those things and more, but I am a lucky person. Not everyone has a roof over their head or a family to love. That's why I made a choice, a choice to try and help make a home for someone who can't afford or can't get a home. I don't want to win because of an ipad or a pizza party, I want to win for the sole fact of being able to help someone have a home of their own. Where they can have a space that is their own, where they can be themselves and build the feeling of safety. I want to win for people and families that live in stress or fear of not knowing where they will lay their head at night. I am so grateful for the home I have and the bed I sleep in. I want more people to start being kind and more caring so that all people can have a great life to spend with the people they love most.
