What a Home Means to Me
A home for me is memories with my family. For example, you can make a snow hill or camp in a tent with your family. It means you can be with your family and not be weird about anything. You can talk with your family, you can eat tacos, hamburgers with your family. Also, you can have fun by playing baseball, hockey, and art with your family. You can replace a house, but you cannot replace a home.
You can be reunited with your friends and your family in your home. For example, you can have reunions, birthday parties, sleepovers and have playdates. A home is warm, loving and caring. When you are at home it’s okay to let your emotions go. It's okay to be mad, sad, happy, nervous and scared because you are safe. You can embrace the feeling that your family and you have a home. Also, it provides a space to be safe.
Home is where I can be myself. I can talk about myself at home. You can feel good that you are at home and your family. Home is where you can do things for your family. For example, you can cut the grass for your parents, you can fold your family’s laundry, vacuum, dust or do the dishes.
You can find a million houses, but you can only find one home.
