Meaning of Home

Meaning of Home My house is not only a house, it's a place where I can spend purposeful time with my family. I've lived in my family's house since I was 3 years old. My brother and I grew up playing in our vast backyard and I have a sense of warmth when he still wants to run around with me. I grew up in my home and it would break my heart to leave. We were so lucky to be able to buy a lakefront house outside of town with enough bedrooms for my numerous siblings and I'm eternally grateful for that opportunity. We have many family members who enjoy visiting and it is truly remarkable that we have the resources to host evenings like those. My home is a safe place for me and my family. I believe that my home will protect me. My home is the most amazing thing I've ever had because home is not your house, it's your sense of safety in your house. I love my home with all my heart and I hope that it remains with me for as long as possible. My older siblings visit sometimes and I can see memories in their eyes as they remember all the good times they've had in this house. My animals love the house, my dog goes to jump in the leaves fallen from our strong oak trees. Home is everything to me and it always will be, no matter where that home is.
