The Difference Between A House And A Home

What is the difference between a house and a home? Some people might say there is none. But many don't know how different a house and a home are from each other. A house is a building. It’s empty and dull. You're all alone in the darkness. It’s frightening. Your eyes dart around in every direction, you never know what might appear around the corner. You get goosebumps from the sound of a creak. A branch scratches the window. It echoes in your brain. A home is a place that you can call your own. It’s a special place where you can be yourself. Its walls shelter you from the wind and the breeze. Its roof protects you from storms. The windows let you see the beauty of the earth and the wonder of nature from the warmth inside. My head fills with memories and joy as I walk through the door. This home is mine and I'm grateful I have it. I believe Habitat For Humanity is doing a great act of service and kindness for everyone. No one deserves to feel lonely and cold out on the streets. I wish everyone could realize how good they have it. Maybe one day, people will follow Habitat For Humanity and our world will be a better place. Thank you for everything you've done, and will do.
