What Home Means to Me

Home isn't just four walls. It is a place where you are fully known and loved. Home is different for everyone, because some don't know what home means and others will love theirs forever. Not everybody has a home and not everyone takes their home for granted. This is home for me, home is a shield from bad things, home is a place for love and family, and home is made of memories. Firstly, home is a shield from bad things. While you’re at home all your stress and anxiety can go away. Nothing and nobody can make you feel unimportant and worthless. Home will always have people supporting you through everything. Secondly, home is a place for love and family. At home there will be people loving and caring for you for your entire life. Family will always be there, and will help make many of the major decisions in your life. Maybe you have a younger or older sibling and not take that for granted but they will always stay near you and never leave. Lastly, your home is made of memories. When you’re at home you make so many memories. From the time your family made a snowman family to the time you had family photos in the backyard. If you are feeling down you remember all of your happy memories from home and your family. Making memories is one of the greatest parts of having a family. You remember the smell of your mom’s famous cookies, the excitement when playing a board game, and so many more. That is my definition of home and family. Home is a shield, home is a place for love and family, home is made of memories. Home is more than sleeping and eating; home is for love and care.
