My Home
What is Home to me?
For me, home is a beautiful, loving environment where I can be safe opening up and sharing my feelings with the ones that I love. I used to have a dog and she was so amazing. She would comfort me when the outside world was scary and big. Whenever I came home from a long day at school, I would be warmly greeted with my dog at the door, her tail wagging, waiting for my arrival. I would hug her and she would make my day so much better. It feels a lot different without her in my home.
Home is the smell of first-time homemade dishes that your parents make for you.
You say you love the food even though sometimes you don't. They love you. They care for you. Even sometimes I get into an argument with my parents, but we all talk it out and in the end, it’s just a small one.
Home is important because it can make you feel safe and can shelter you from the violent thrashing winds or the huge amount of snow that we have in Canada. Home is a place where I can be myself, be silly, and try new things.
Everyone's home is unique. Some are made of quartz, some from wood, some from marble, and some from fabric. No matter the landscape, no matter the environment, a home is a home.
