“Home”, A Wonderful Place

Home. Home is a place that has meaning, memories, and so much more than everyone thinks. Home is a place that protects me. Home is something way more than just four walls. In a building we call home, a big story is created through happiness, laughs, tears, passion and love. My story was created by me and my family, not just me. Every time I see my home, I get reminded of my family because without them, I wouldn’t be living under the same roof. I’d also feel really grateful. I feel that because sometimes people ( including myself) only have the desire to want, not think about the things that they have. So when I see my home, I feel how grateful I am. When I was a kid, my home was really peaceful and it felt really positive and it filled me with laughter. In my house, my parents taught me how to be respectful and clean. It showed me how I wasn’t so stubborn. My home felt normal until when my sister and I started to get into big fights. When we got into fights, I started becoming rebellious. This made me grow up and I matured. This made my house environment really different. I immediately noticed my home changed because it felt like when I was home, it wasn’t the safest place. I told my sister and we tried to fix up our problem which taught me confrontation. My home has changed but I have still adjusted. Even after all those times we yelled and screamed, I still love my home. I feel like my home is where I can truly express myself. When I think of home, I think of being greeted and hearing my bunny scratch on the floor, or I think of my piano, since I love to play piano. My kitchen is where I taste the best food and where I share funny stories. The living room is like a clubhouse. Where I play games with my family and watch TV. Home is like a warm hug around me. When I am having a rough day, home makes me feel loved and happier than before. Home isn’t just 4 walls, it is where all my memories are all put together. No matter where I am, no matter what I see, my home will always be a special place in my heart.
