Home
Home is a place where you make memories, play with family, and celebrate milestones. It is more than a house because it is a place where you have fun. You make memories of doing the things you love. Home can be anywhere, at school, or with your sports team. For example, playing sports with my family in the backyard and feeling a cool breeze against my face. Playing board games with your family keeps you entertained. With your family, you go on vacation across the world and have family gatherings. In the kitchen, I can smell the delicious food my mom is making. I feel joy when I am with my family. You make memories at school, such as field trips and recess. Together, we laugh and spend time with each other. In addition, home means the comfort of your family. You always have fun together watching movies and playing games. I feel protected with your family like there is a shield around me. That is why I feel comfortable and loved at home. I feel welcome and that I belong. I like to sit in my room and read when I am tired and play sports when I have energy. My family also comforts me when I am down and helps me with things I don’t know. Finally, you celebrate milestones and success such as birthdays or scoring in sports for the first time. Your family is there to support you and cheer you on if something is hard. They celebrate every cool moment with you and help you. In the end, home is a fun place to relax, to get active, and where you feel safe and loved. Your family also does fun activities. What does home mean to you?
