What does home mean to you?

Many people say that a home and a house are the same thing, but they are two completely different things. A house is a structure built with walls, windows, doors, and more. A home is built with the same things as a house but a home is also built with memories. At a house people gather together and have fun while at a home, people gather together, have fun, feel comfort, love, happiness, and create memories. For me, my home is a safe and comfortable space. Whenever I feel overstimulated or just a bunch of different emotions combined, I run to my room and just relax. At home I am also familiar with my surroundings. My home is built with a lot of memories like my first day of school. I remember that I came home exhausted and just jumped on my couch. Outside, I act like everyone else, mature and a little bit goofy. At home, I just let it all out and act like a complete goofball because I know that no one will judge me or give me any awkward stares. Most people have a home and that is their sanctuary. That is why everyone says “ Home sweet Home, “ and not “ House sweet House “. Everyone deserves a home where they can feel like and be themselves.
