The Meaning of Home The roof of the house offers cover from the rain, but a blanket offers warmth. Walls lend protection against the cold, but a bed lends something to lay on. A floor gives defense from the damp, but a carpet gives something to stand on. Windows provide a barrier from the wind, but a dog gives love and friendship to all. All together this is the meaning of home to me.
