The Meaning of Home

The meaning of home isn’t just your house; it’s your happy place. You’ll know you’re home when you hear your family laughing about a game they are playing. You’ll know you are home when you smell your mom’s cooking, like my mom’s goat curry. You’ll know you’re home when you feel your pet’s fur and your cat purring. We celebrate Christmas by having a dinner and opening our gifts. My family celebrates Thanksgiving by going to my grandma’s house. On Easter, we find eggs and the gold egg gives us money. Holidays at my house and fun, and they make me happy. Habitat for Humanity helps people who need a home. A home is a shelter to keep you warm and cool. A home is a place to feel comforted and loved.
