Happiness, Harmony & Home

Home could be anywhere and yet it’s better than any other place. It could be on Earth or even in space! At home, love, happiness, and joy fill the air even when there are moments these feelings seem far away. Home brings comfort when you are down. Home has everything you need from food to family (even the siblings who may annoy you but truly matter). A house is not a home without a loving family inside it. At home you can get away from reality and things that hurt. It’s a place where you laugh so hard your stomach aches, where you can cry without anyone judging you. It's where you can be you, where “normal” can sometimes be wonderfully weird, where loved ones are and where you belong. Yet there are times when we take our home for granted. In my home, I am always surrounded by my one-of-a-kind siblings and my amazing parents. We have warm, delicious food, safe drinking water and a comfortable bed. Whenever I come home, I feel safe and truly happy. There is always a sense of comfort and peace. It’s one of the best feelings in the world! However, not everyone is as fortunate as us. There are people in Canada and around the world who do not feel the same. They do not have a place to call home, and this is because they don’t have a place to stay, no nutritious food to eat or safe drinking water, and sometimes not even the love and support of a loving family. The most magical thing about my home is that no matter how amazing it is to discover new places, nothing ever compares to the comfort and joy of coming back home!
