Home Isn’t Always Just a Place

What is home and why is it important? Home is a very important place-only if I believe it’s important; I’ve titled this piece Home Isn’t Always Just A Place because I think that a home can be anything or anywhere you feel loved, cared for, and so on. Home isn't always just a building; I suspect that everyone’s home means a lot to them, or as I said- very important. What home means to me: a place where I feel welcome, cared for, loved, warm, a place where I feel like I have a purpose (not because I don’t anywhere else), a place where I can dive into new adventures, and many more. Home to me is everything. Home might not always be a place. Many people don’t have houses-so does that mean that they don’t have a home? Well, yes and no, here's where I start to connect to the title, sometimes home really isn’t always a place, home could be anything, actually-anything-I wasn’t kidding. I’m not homeless, but even if I were, I could still have something or somewhere I could call home. However, people can still have trouble finding a place to call home. After everything I said in the last paragraph, people can still have trouble finding a real home, this is why habitat for humanity is so helpful. The meaning of this contest: This is why this contest is so important. It’s truly heartwarming that Habitat for Humanity works so hard to give people a place they call home. This is why I love writing this piece-just this piece will help people afford homes, and this is not the only piece. I believe after this contest, hundreds of people will now have a home.
