The Meaning of Home

A while ago, I thought home was just a place, but now I know home is much more than that. My home is not a place to sleep or a roof above my head. It's a place that I feel safe and loved. Every evening when I get home from school and see my family and the smell of my mom’s cooking, I feel a sense of warmth and happiness wash over me even in the snowy, cold winter days. At dinner, my family and I are talking and laughing together and that's when I feel happiest of all because I know that even sometimes when we fight, we will all come together again as one big happy family in our home. That's what I think home is all about. Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving many people their own home to live, laugh and love.
