What the Meaning of Home Means to Me

I have two ‘homes’ but that's only where I keep my stuff. My mom’s house and my dad’s house, but that's not where I feel at home. I truly feel at home when I’m with my best friend. We have been friends since grade three. She came up to me when I first came to the school and had no friends there. She had asked if I wanted to hang out with her and her friends. Since then she has welcomed me to the school,her house, and even her family. Back then and now we get each other and our jokes. We have always liked the same things. But even if we don't talk for a long time the moment we start talking it’s like we never stopped talking. We start where we left off, but when we talk again it's like a weight comes off my chest and I feel warm. It's like a part of me left and came back. She pushes me to do stuff I don't normally. She's the reason why I play my favorite sport and she does not make me feel stressed about if I make or don't make a team. That's what home means to me.
