The storm that changed everything

I didn't realize how important my home was to me until there was the biggest storm I've ever seen. It started with rain. Lots of rain. Then came the wind. It was really loud and took our power for the house. I thought the storm would never end, and for an awful while, it felt like it never would. But suddenly, the rain eased off a little bit, and after a while, it stopped altogether. After the storm there were plenty of sticks and fallen branches scattered across the yard. I thought for a while how other people without homes would be dealing with this. Therefore, I'm very grateful for Habitat for Humanity to be making homes for people who need it most.
