What Home Means to Me
Home is not just walls and roof, it's more than that. For me home means family, togetherness, love and the memories you create and also the space it holds for forgiveness.
Home means family. I have a big family and if I had no family it would be like I had no home. If I had no home I would be sad and lonely all the time.
Home means togetherness. Being together with my family, talking, learning and growing together.
Home feels like love because I love home. Family and friends gathering together in a place that feels safe.
Home is the memories you’re always making, even when you don’t realize it. My home has lots of memories, and I also love looking at old memories from before I was born!
Home also means “Forgiveness” and gathering (especially gathering during different holidays.) Forgiveness in my home means we learn to forgive others for their mistakes, because we know that no one is perfect. You should always be ready to listen and try to forgive.
I have lived in the same home for almost all my whole life, which I am grateful for. It would not be the same to grow up in another home, all the memories would be gone. I know that everyone is not as fortunate as me, but I hope no matter what, everyone is able to feel the type of meaning of home that I feel at some point in their life.
Home is not just the walls and the roof; it’s the togetherness, love and memories that the family inside the walls create.
