The Meaning of Home

Sometimes, we get lost in the idea that home is a materialistic item or place. Sometimes, we allow our day to go to waste because we are focused on the wrong things and as a result, we forget what home really means. Home could mean a variety of different things. For some people, it is the smell of their mother’s cooking. For others, it is their family. For me, home means warmth, family, food, comfort, and love. I feel comfortable and happy in my home. I think of different colours when I think of my home. I think of the colors light blue for the windows, purple for the goo monster, gray for the pots and pans, red and dark brown for the food, light brown for the spices, orange-ish yellow for the heater, light pink for the salt, and peach for my grandma's headband. That is what home means to me. What does home mean to you?
