What Home Means to Me
A home is not just bricks and glass. It is a place I feel loved, safe and much more. At home I know I can be myself. I am happy and safe at home. Home is the best place in the world.
Home means love, memories and family. I live with my mom and dad in a condo. I have lived here my whole life. We used to have a hamster named Squeaky that we loved very much. On the weekends we have family movie nights and cuddle together on the couch. On special holidays my grandparents come to visit. My home is where I took my first steps and learned to talk. I lost my first tooth here. I saw the Blue Jays almost win the World Series here. Not that long ago, I turned 9. Home is full of love and memories. I see photos of memories on the walls every day.
Home is where I feel safe and comfortable, it is also very fun. My home has my favourite things. Some of my favourite things are my room, Lego and more. That is why home is very fun. Home is safe because my mom and dad are there. It is a safe place to relax after school. My home protects me from the outside world. My home is comfortable because it is warm. I feel cozy in my bed and couch. Home means safe and comfortable. Plus it is fun!
I think everybody deserves a home because a home is safe and cozy. Again home is not just bricks and glass. It is a place I feel loved, safe. Thank you to Habitat for Humanity Canada. You are helping to make sure everyone has a place to call home.
