What Is Home?
I think of houses and homes everyday.
And other people do too, I’m sure, in many a way.
For me, home feels like the coziness of my fluffy bed.
I sleep in it while wearing my pajamas of red.
Home looks like piles of bright white snow.
Lit up, though the winter sun doesn’t always brightly glow.
Home looks like an orange sunset.
Capturing the beautiful moments like a net.
The aroma of my mother cooking smells so delicious!
Anyone who doesn’t like her food has to be audacious!
She makes amazing Mataar Paneer and awesome chicken soup!
They taste so much better than your old ‘froot loops’.
Home sounds like the microwave heating up leftovers.
Home sounds like me on the television watching Mark Rober
Home gives you refuge from anything bad.
And makes sure you never-ever feel sad.
It calms you down whenever you are mad.
And watches over you like mom and dad!
What is a home? A place where you feel safe.
It’s a place where you belong, like a warm cozy cave.
A place of acceptance that welcomes you.
A place for religion, food, and games through and through!
