What Is A Home?
You may think a home is just an ordinary house with walls, a few windows, and a roof but a home is way much more than that. To me, a home is a place where you can feel safe and protected by your family. A home is a place where you can feel free. A home is where you can bond with your family, watch movies together, eat together, go on vacations together, cook together and take care of each other. A home is where you belong. You don't belong in a dumpster, nor on the streets, you belong in a home.
In my home I feel like I belong, I feel included like I really matter. I feel like I can be myself and be honest about my feelings and actually express my thoughts. I feel loved by my parents every single day. A home is what brings families together. A home is where you're cared for by your parents. Although not everyone is as fortunate to have a home. Some homes have family trips or movie nights and some homes don't. Every home is different, not every home is the same.
A home can be anything, you don't need a house to feel at home. A home can be an apartment, a tent, a boat, or even an underground cave. But what makes a home a home? A home is a place where you live with your family. A home is filled with all your loved ones. In my home, I live with my family members and we eat together, watch movies together, and go on family trip.
That is what a home is to me. Some people might have different types of meanings or perspectives of what a home is but this is what a home means to me.
