A Home is...

If I had to describe what a home is to me it’s a place where I feel open, a place I'm welcome. A home is a place you can rest, it’s somewhere you can feel safe, it’s also somewhere you wind down after a long day. At home I relax, try to turn the day around, have some fun, sleep and be myself. Home is a place you can reflect on the day, think about what to do differently tomorrow. Sometimes it’s not a good place to be and it doesn't feel safe, which happens, that's perfectly normal. You may move houses but the new house doesn't feel like home, it feels like your home is still the old house and as much as i’d like to say the new house becomes home eventually, that's not always true. Your home doesn't need to be a house, it could be a cosy bench, a city and so much more. At your home you can have family and friends or it could just be you which is fine, it’s your home for you and possibly many others. Home is a lot but yet so little, it's amazing how much of a difference it can make. Home is special, just the word has so much meaning to it, there are so many things that a home is but something I'm sure about is home is home.
