What Home Means to Me

What home means to me Home is not just a place, it is a space where I am safe, comfortable, and loved. I can express how I feel and what I want or need. I share so many memories. Whether they are funny, happy, or sad. All the pictures on the wall. They tell a million stories. Stories that mean so much to me. They make me smile every time I see them. All those nights, when we sit around the table and play games. All the joy and fun I have. Every day that I am sad, I always have someone to talk to and a cozy place to go. I never need to feel sad, because I can go into my yard and take a walk in my woods or spend some time with my adorable pet chickens. I can run around freely and enjoy the bright blue sky. I go and swing on my swing where I learned to do it all by myself. When I walk into the kitchen and smell something that I love, I see mom walking around getting everything ready for a family meal. After a long day I can go to my bed and listen to music or read a book. Our bookshelves are full of so many amazing and fun books. I have read just about all of them. Every night when my mom reads to us, her voice sounds so calming. When I go to my dads garage after school and give him the biggest hug in the world. I talk to him for a while and all my worries instantly go away. The garage is where I learned to use a scooter, ride a bike, and I am currently learning how to rollerblade. That is my home and what it means to me.
