What does home mean to me?
Dear habitat for humanity
Home is a place where I feel safe and welcome.
When I come home, it smells like my mom’s, freshly baked cookies!
The second I walk through the door of my home, it feels like my home gives me a big hug.
If I'm feeling sad, my mom and dad work together, to make me smile and feel warm inside! Every day when I walk through my doors to my home, and I see my mom and dad’s smile, it sets my day!
When I'm tired my mom rubs my back, until I fall asleep. When I feel my mom’s smooth warm hands on my back, I start to feel myself fall asleep.
When I'm feeling down, my dad always somehow makes me crack a smile.
When I'm frustrated, my mom and dad hold my hands and help me, every step of the way.
Home is a place to love and grow. Home isn't made of bricks and walls, it's made from love and trust.
A home is where honesty, love and trust grows. But the most important one of all… is a loving family... No matter how far home is, or how far you've gone… your family and home will always be there for you. Your family and your home is the reason you've come this far. My mom and my dad have given me the best life I could ask for. I don't know how I'd be where I am without them… I wish I could tell them how much I love them. But I can't put my love for them in straight words.
So I only have a few words to say.. Thank you. Thank you mom and dad for giving me the life I dreamed of. And because of Habitat for Humanity for giving the chance for other families to experience the life I live. We love you Habitat for Humanity!
Sincerely Ariana.
