Meaning of home

Home is more than just four walls and a roof, it's where I feel safe, loved, and cared for. To me home means a place where you feel safe, but it also means family, like when you just came home from school and see your family cooking, playing video games, or even just being there. When I'm at home or around my family I feel emotions like calmness, happiness and relaxation. For example when i was younger my dad would sign with numbers on the cupboards whenever we made eggs. It made me feel very happy and engaged whenever my father did this. In my view this shows the meaning of home because it describes a caring family that goes out of their way for you, which in turn makes you feel happy and cared for. The people in my home that make it special are my cats and my parents. For example when we have movie nights my parents will make dinner while i sit and watch a movie. When my parents are done cooking she comes and watches the movie with me and my dad, we pet our cats and watch the movie together as we eat the food my parents made us. This shows the meaning of home because it describes my parents cooking together and the smells of spices floating through my apartment. In my house I learned how to draw, paint, and watercolor. I remember my dad teaching me how to draw, ink, and colour my drawings. Me and my dads skill of art brought us closer together and made me realize how much I love him and my family. Everyone's meaning of home is different, but I'm glad I could share mine, because home is important to me.
