My Special Place
What home means to me is a place where I feel happy and safe. I feel happy
because there is a lot to do, like practice the piano, do art, have fun with my
brother, and play board games. I feel safe because my family is here.
In my home, there is lots of space to play with my brother and my cousins. My
room is really comfy with a desk to draw, a squishy chair to sit in, and a nice soft
bed to sleep on. There is a tent in my room with twinkling lights and stuffed
animals, because if I get mad or sad I can go in there to read which makes me feel
better. When my cousins come to visit, we set up a restaurant or lemonade stand,
make forts with blankets and chairs, and watch movies with popcorn.
For the holidays, I make cookies with my mom and we decorate the house. We
read books about different holidays around the world, and my grandparents tell
me stories about my culture. Each time, I get to learn new things which help me
grow.
In the backyard there are many different animals that come to visit, like bunnies,
white tailed deer, and foxes. I named the smallest bunny Bob, after my favourite
minion. In the summer, we get to run through the sprinklers and swim in our
blow-up pool.
My home is where my family lives and that is what makes home so special.
