What Home Means to Me

Home is not just a place that gives me shelter, and a place I eat and sleep, but a place I'm loved and cared for. Home is always a place I feel safe, and a place where I get kisses and hugs. Home is not just a place with walls, and floors, but a place where I can be loved and more. Home is where we make memories and laugh, and tease and be funny. Home is never a place where I'm denied, but a place where I can thrive. Home is where I can be cared for and always have a shoulder to cry on. Home is where I feel acceptance and never threatened. Home is where I share my food and culture, and be proud of who I am. I love my home. And thank you to Habitat for humanity for helping people in need of a home.
