What Home Means To Me

Home means a place where I feel safe, happy, and calm inside my heart. It is where I can be myself and not pretend to be anyone else. At home, I can laugh loudly, cry if I need to, and know that someone will understand me. Home smells like food I love and feels warm, even on cold days. It is where my bed is, where I sleep and have dreams, and where I wake up feeling okay to start a new day. Home is also where my family is. Even when we argue or get annoyed at each other, I know they care about me and want the best for me. Home is where people ask how my day was and listen to my answers. It is where I feel protected when I am scared and where I feel better when I am sad or tired.
