Home to Me

I like my home because I feel safe, relaxed, and happy in it! Also, home makes me feel like I can do anything. I feel safe because when I hide under a blanket and read, it makes me feel like not one person or animal (or the monster that hides under my bed) can get me! I feel relaxed because I can lie down on a pile of pillows. I feel happy because I can cuddle with my mom in the fort that I made with my sister out of stuffies. The smell of home is a little deep and the air is fresh. Also, the scent of the people in my family makes me feel welcome at any time. In the summer, I go outside to my balcony and sit on the swing chair. It is a beige colour with a cooling roof on top! Under the cooling rooftop, there is a comfy couch swinging above the grass. My home is a shelter, a place that I am thankful for, a place where I can sleep and make memories. Laughter and joy come together at the dinner table. Family members eat traditional food and greet new guests with joy. My family gets together to watch a movie, eat popcorn and drink yummy soda, waiting for the day to end! When I sit down on a couch, I can feel the pillows flatting back while I lay down. When I take a deep breath, I can feel the summer air. I reach down to grab a blanket and I feel a little tingle in my leg. I see the flowers that my mom got to decorate the balcony that is outside behind the TV. I Love My Home!
