What Home Means to Me? Love

To me a house isn't a home until there is LOVE. So a house has no memories, no laughs, no cries, no love. A home has lots of that, a home is more than a square box with a roof and a few windows. Home is a powerful place with moms and dads, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, grandmas and grandpas and aunts and uncles who are all laughing and sharing about their day. Yet in at the house there's nothing but crickets, wind and plain silence. In a home there's lots of baking and the lovely smell of fresh bread and in a house there's none of that as the oven rolling pins and flower remain untouched. While at home the conversation is rolling as someone rolls the dice while playing a board game, but at the house there's no one there, no one to play. In a home there's a big roar of cheer as the favorite team scores, but at the house theirs again only silence. At the home the ‘good nights’ are flowing while everyone's turning out the lights to go to bed after a long night, but at the house it’s still and it’s silent. At the home the ‘good mornings’ are said as the whole family heads down for breakfast, but at the house there is no home without memories, laughs, cries, happy noise, and LOVE.
