WHAT DOES HOME MEAN TO ME

I think home is a cozy feeling. Cozy like being on the couch watching a shark documentary or my favourite Muppet movie, under my favourite blanket. That feels like home. My favourite blanket is blue with white stripes and frayed edges. My favourite Muppets are Kermit and Animal. Another thing that makes me feel at home is when me and Angus play with our mini sticks. Every year for Christmas we get a Mystery Mini stick. This tradition feels like home too. I have so much fun opening the package and hoping for the best stick. The best stick “in my mind” is the white Prodo. Another thing about my home, is that I have two houses I call home. In my mind this means twice as much space I can call home. At my mom’s house I have my own room which I like. It gives me a place to go to when I want some alone time away from my brother. At my dad’s house I share a room with my brother, which I also like because it’s mine and my brother’s. It is our place to go when we want to play a game or just tell our best jokes to each other. Some things are different between my mom and dad’s houses. One difference is our routines. For example, at my mom’s I shower before bed and wake up later in the morning. At my dad’s I like to shower in the morning so wake up earlier. We also have different things at the two houses, like toothbrushes, stuffies, and beds. I have a bunk bed at my dad’s and my own bed at my mom’s. No matter which house I am in , home is the people I am with. Home also includes my dog Dozer, he lives at my mom’s and being with him makes me feel comfortable, and cozy. Dozer and my family keep me company and I like being with them. That is what feels like home to me.
