The Girl and Her Question

The Girl and Her Question Once upon a time the sun was beaming, the birds were singing, the children were laughing, and the school bells were ringing. In one of the classrooms, there was a 11 year old girl and she was staring at something...... a clock! She looked at the clock tic TOC tic TOC. It turns from twelve to one and then to two. Suddenly, there was a question that was lingering in her mind almost nagging at her to ask, “what is a home?” “Hey, hey wake up” “Ryderrr” “time for music.” says her friends Olivia and Marina. I’m going to ask “what is a home?“ but Olivia stops me. Olivia says: “ never mind that we need to get to music class!” As I’m in music class, the question is getting bigger and bigger. Music class ends, its time for our recess break. While I’m going outside, I find a friend named Trinity. I’m starting to ask her “what is a home? “ “Hey Ryder”- oh my goodness, I got interrupted AGAIN! After that we both just sit there in silence.... As we sit there, we think about what just happened. I think about my loud outburst, she thinks about her interrupting. After awhile, I finally ask: “What is the meaning of a home?” Trinity replies: “the meaning of a home to me is that no matter where you are or who you’re with, you should feel safe and happy. A home for me is my house and the people in it would be my grandparents, and my cousin Viah. What about you Ryder?” “For me, the meaning of home is the skating rink and my house.” The skating rink is so much fun and pretty. The way the ice sparkles when the water is put on it and the frosty air. The end
