A Formula to What Makes a House MY Home
A house is just a frame, but a special formula makes it MY home.
My dogs wait each day for my bus to drop me off. When I walk in, they jump up with sloppy kisses whacking me with their tales, because I make a house THEIR HOME, and they make a house MYHOME.
The smell of supper waiting for me in the kitchen, especially if it is spaghetti, makes me feel so lucky to be home. Having my tummy full of food is what makes a house MY HOME.
At bedtime I get my dog Zola into bed, and cover us up in my blanky as I sniff it like it has a potion to make me sleep. My dog, prayers, blanky, and mom’s kiss on the forehead as she tells me she loves me before I fall asleep, is comforting. I know this comfort is what makes a house MY HOME.
If I wake in the middle of the night, I listen to the sound of dad snoring. It might drive my mom crazy, but to me it is my version of the best lullaby and is music to my ears, and this is what makes a house MY HOME.
My favorite summer memories and smells are fresh cut grass while I’m jumping on my trampoline and the barbeque cooking up some burgers and hotdogs. The summer aromas are what makes a house and a yard MY HOME.
The size or location of a house does not make a house a home. A house is a frame. The formula to what makes a house MY home, are all the things I just mentioned. I can take my formula to any house, anywhere in the world, and this is what would make any house MY HOME.
