Home to Me
I believe that the differnce between a house and a home is that a house is a cold building with no love or happiness. A house has no life and an echo to it. A house is just a building that has nothing, no memories or love. A house smells like paint and glory.
A home smells like a bonfire in the summertime while roasting marshmallows with my friends and family. Home is getting a sweet treat after playing in the sun all day. Home doesn't have to be a building, home could be a comfy bed. Home is like a giant heart that is filled with love and memories. Home makes me feel like I matter, I feel safe. In my home I have my own space and my own room with large windows and when I wake up the sun shines on my face. It makes me feel joy. Home is a place where I put my two hands together and pray with my family. A Home gets messy, a home has dirty laundry, a home is cared for. Home tastes like a dish of my moms precious Honig dutch soup and a house tastes like nothing. A home is making homemade birthday cards for your brothers or sisters to celebrate their special day. A house smells like paint and has an echo to it.
To me that's the difference between a house and a home.
