Meaning of Home

Hello, my name is Zoe I go to Lynnmour elementary. I never really accepted the point of my house. I have an assignment in school where we have to write what home means to you. I have now with the help of others realised how much I love my home. I am writing about what home means to me, the difference between a house and a personal story. If you do not know what the difference between a house and a home, please read this. To me a home is a place of safety, to me a home is a place of love. A home can be anywhere for you. My home is full of things I like and bought for my home. I know a home can be where you live but it can be many more things. If you feel safe at your friend's home, it could be your home too. Mabey you don't trust your parents and you think you feel more comfortable outside or somewhere ells that you don't call your house your home anymore. A home can be a place like somewhere you have been. Even your grandparents' house could be your home. That is what I think a home means. A house is a place of shelter, a place of walls and floors. A home is a place of warmth, a place of family and love. A house is a place to hide, a home is a place to thrive. A house is a glove for you, but a home is what love means to you. A house can be a home, but a home cannot be a home My personal story is of a time I truly knew what a home meant to me. It was the morning Christmas, I got out of bed so happy, but I knew I had to respect my parents because they are not early birds like me. I sat in bed waiting, wondering what I got an if I got everything I asked for. I didn’t have a watch at the time, so I lost track of time it was. I left my room to go downstairs. For breakfast as a family, we ate cinnamon rolls. Then finally we got to open our presents. in all this time I was thinking of how lucky I am to have a family and to have a home. Amen. I hope you learned what a home means to me, the difference between a house and a home and a short personal story. I really hope you reflected on some of my writing. Our class is looking forward to possibly winning. No high hopes don't worry. Thank you so much for reading, Zoe =)
