Meaning of Home

This is what home means to me. Home is a place where you sleep, eat and live. Where your house is can be changed throughout your life, but you decide if it's your home. For example, I’ve moved a lot of times (three times). I am 12 and all the homes I’ve lived in were great until I moved due to unforeseen events at around four years each. One of the things I did when I moved was to take all the favorite stuff, like my Lego, posters and other toys from my old house, and arrange them in my new bedroom. Then it was home! My new house was so nice, after a while of putting all my stuff up it finally became a home. In my new home we had downstairs neighbors, and we did so many cool things together and my best friend came over occasionally. We had the biggest backyard ever, in the summer there was blow-up pools and balloon fights. In the winter we had snowball fights and hot cocoa.Everything was good except for one thing. our neighbors, not the ones downstairs, the ones one house over. They were bad to us. for example, one time it was summer, and it was around 7:00 pm. Me, my sister and the downstairs neighbors were just jumping on the trampoline being mostly quiet and the neighbors called the police. After a while my dad and then the neighbors moved out, with my dad we just moved into my grandparents' home. With my mom we also had to move so after a while we moved to our current home. We moved in 2020 I think. My new house is smaller but at least we bought it and don’t have to rent it. Now in my current home the coolest thing here is tall measuring stick that has lots of names that I've had since I was 5 keep in mind, I’m 12. Four to six feet is piled with names. it’s right by the doorway so everyone can see it. After awhile we started to go outside and go for walks. We were stuck inside suring Covid and when it became safer we would go out for some fresh air and go on long walks around the forests. Because there was not alot of other people in the forest, it felt calming. After all this I learned one thing, that no matter where I live family will allways be home. Every where I’ve moved my family was always with me right by my side.
