What Home Means to Me

What Home means to me is the smell of steaming cookies that just came out of the oven, the scent of fresh steak for your next meal. Where you can see the pictures lining the walls and surfaces of the living room, the counters in the kitchen, filled with the leftovers of last night's dinner. It's where you can hear the fire crackling in the living room, the birds chirping in the big maple tree right outside the bedroom window. It's where you can taste the apple crisp that your nanny just brought over for christmas, the delicious meal your dad just made for dinner. It's where you can feel the soft blanket on your couch when you're watching your dog walking around the room, the smooth rocks outside of your front porch in the summer. This is what home means to me.
