The Meaning of Home
The Meaning Of Home
A house is bricks, walls and furniture, supplies, money, electronics and expensive stuff, while a home is where you wake up to the smell of pancakes. A place where your childhood memories cherish in the back of your minds, a home is a place where you can be yourself, a place where you are loved, and also where you are accepted. A home is full of people, like your parents, siblings and grandparents, and that projects love in your home. Family is like a puzzle piece for it to be a home. A house is just a building, in a house there's just emptiness, no love, and no memories. But a home doesn't need any of that to be one, a home is a home when there's love, sharing, caring in it, and you might not have money in your home, but that's not what matters, at all, what matters in a home, is the people inside of it. Furniture, walls are material stuff, that stuff doesn't matter, a home is a place where your heart is, it's the place to play with your siblings, have fun, and eat the delicious cookies your grandma made, draw with your mom. A house is a place where the only things that matter are water bills, electricity bills, being better than others, having more money than others, but that's not what really matters. But what matters in a home is love, compassion, sharing, being kind, and being loyal. The only thing that it takes to make a home is not an entrance, not a table, not a counter, and definitely not money. A home could be destroyed, but as long as there's love, compassion and caring, it's a home. That's what home should mean to me, you, and everybody.
