Meaning of Home
The meaning of home is different for everyone. For some, it could mean having a bed, a place to sleep, their family around them, or even their favorite toys. Everyone is different, so the idea of home is not the same for everyone.
For me, home means having a comfortable bed to sleep in, food I can make and enjoy, and a TV where I can watch Harry Potter whenever I want. My family is loving, kind, and amazing. I love being able to have friends over, watch movies with my mom, dad, sister, and brother, and spend time with my pets. Home is also a place where I feel safe, have fun, and can play sports like basketball and volleyball.
Having clean clothes, a roof over my head to keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and access to food and water are all important to me. Staying hydrated is essential—did you know you can’t go more than three days without water?
I enjoy going on walks with my family and pets, though my cats prefer to stay outside and don’t like being walked! Skating with my family is also a lot of fun. I love that I can call my friends when we’re both free to chat.
As long as I have my family by my side, a roof over my head, and food and water, I know I have a home. In the end, it’s family that truly makes a house a home.
