Meaning of Home

A Home is a word that means a lot to people.A house is a structure that is made of wood, bricks and cement, but a home, on the other hand, isn’t just a mere structure, but a place with family, love and laughter. My home is filled with a lot of love, care and safety. At the age of three, my family and I came to Canada, my new home. The walls in my home open to me like a blank canvas, where I paint my dreams and hopes. In the morning, when I wake up by my daddy’s wake-up call, I smell the aroma of tea and my moms cooking. When I am at home, I study, play, draw, etc. with ease.When my mom and dad hug me, I feel safe and loving with warm emotions and dreams. The time is there, in my home to build myself and give back to our community. When I come back to my home, my family waits for me. In my home, I feel comfortable and secure. My home is a haven of hope. When I am happy, my parents and my brother have a smile on their face In my home, my family just doesn’t live but my golden memories also live, such as my birthday, diwali and our traditions. If a house is a building, a home is a sanctuary of love and laughter. The difference between a house with good furnitures and carpets, and a home which doesn’t have that much hospitality is that it has love but a house doesn’t. My conclusion is that a home gives us shelter and is knitted with love and emotions. Thus I love my home, my sweet home.
