What Homes Means to Me

What Home Means to Me I am a grade 6 student, and this is what home means to me. I will be talking about safety, comfort, and the necessities of a house. Let's get started. A house needs to be safe because nobody wants to feel unsafe in their own home. Having a lock on your door is good so that some random stranger or robber comes into your house. Just in case the lock doesn't work you should have some kind of security system. Having a roof and sturdy walls is also good because it does keep you warm, but it also keeps random people outside of your house and it would be hard for someone to break through a sturdy wall. It is also good to have loyal neighbors because if they see something suspicious, they will warn the rest of the neighborhood. That is what a safe home means to me. A house also needs to have comfort. A warm house is needed in the Canadian weather because depends on where in Canada you are the weather can drop to –30° and if you do not have a heater, it will be hard. Having a bed with blankets would also be needed in a home so that you are not sleeping on the hard ground and if you have the right blankets, it will keep you warm in the winter. Entertainment is also needed in any home, no matter what the entertainment is, it is needed so that you are not sitting in your house doing nothing. That is what comfort in a home means to me. There are also some necessities that are required in any home. Every house should have a good amount of food so that you do not starve and so that you do not have to leave your house every time you are hungry. Every house should also have clean water so that you do not get poisoned by bacteria in the dirty water but if that is all you have or can afford try to invest in a water filter. Every house should have a shower or if you cannot afford a shower, some way of bathing yourself because you need to clean your body one way or another. That is what I think the necessities of a home are. That is what a good home means to me. Thank you for reading. H
