Home Is More Than A Building

Home is More Than a Building For me, home isn't just a house, it isn't just a building, it's a place where you Know your safe. Home means a place where you are not just accepted but Welcomed, and you know you'll always be safe. To me, Home means good food And warmth, time outside in the fresh air, family, and So much more. Home means playing checkers with my brother and running in the Yard with my dog, Bella. To me, home means rice, curry and tortillas for dinner. It means I am safe and Well fed, making soup with my mom or frosting flowers onto cakes with my Dama. Home means hours spent exploring the woods and fields around my house with My brother, or my older dog, Bodhi. Me and my brother skate on ponds in The woods, and look for animal tracks. My dog Bodhi hunts mushrooms. In my life, home means helping my mom cook and clean. I sweep the floors over and Over but still can’t keep the dog fur off the floor. I help with the dishes. This is how home is to me. Home is not just the house. It's the woods and ponds and fields in the whole Countryside. It's all of us. My family, friends, and myself. Home is my community. For me, home is fun. I play games with my dogs, chickens, friends, and brother. I love the flowers and birds in spring, climbing trees and the beach in summer, Leaf piles in fall, and sledding in winter. Home is beautiful and safe. This is what home means to me.
